Well just found out that my motor has blown head gasket...and the drive is still leaking oil after I spent 300$ servicing it to fix the leak... Now I don't know what to do....

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes this hobby/sport kicks you in the balls once you think you are getting on the right track. Does the Alpha leak or the drive that requires the transmission. Also the engine in the pics has the bad head gasket?

Yes indeed big slap on the face, the alpha seems to have still a bad seal and is leaking and my 454 has a bad head gasket not the one on the picture.

Can someone tell me is that correct the way they have the water plumbed on that 540? Looks like they have it running through 2 coolers before the seawater pump.

It all depends on room and who is doing it. My Nova 24 has coolers after the pump. My Nova 19 has a cooler before the pump. Just the way it works best for the amount of room thats there. All 3 motors use a basic 454 cooling system configuration.

Ya that's the old "single" cooler bellhousing. Only a cooler on one side. Ive seen coolers plumbed before the sea pump. Nice part about that is when you smoke a rubber impeller, the pieces go straight into your engine and stay there forever. Best to plumb a cooler between the pump and engine to help prevent that scenario.
