Default steering question

i have a 23 ft warlock with a 500hp merc racing engine. when i back off the throttle it darts to the right unless i back off really slow. i need stabilizers or imco hydraulic steering i know. im boating on a budget and cannot afford there outrageous prices. i was wondering if i could buy a set of steering stabilizers made from fox shocks made out of billet aluminum and crome plated heat teated steel shafts, i was wondering if anyone has attempted anything like this or has done it and it worked? also i had another idea of snow plow rams? they are the same thing as imcos and way cheaper would that work for hydraulic? and if so what would i have to do to make the lines and set it up so they work together?
