Default rookie in need of help

New to the site and Baja/boat ownership. Got a 2000 25 Outlaw w/ a 502 Mag stock with about 260 hours on it. Wanted to confirm that the WIX 51060 oil filter and 10w-40 amsoil syn would work well together. Good filter? That is the tall filter and wanted to make sure the tall one fits the 2000. Got the boat shrinkwrapped currently so can't really peak under the hatch to verify. Any other maintenance advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I think most of us use the 51060R,,if the mount is upside down then it will fit..10w40 i would not use,its too thin,i would use the 20w50..http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc...ion-motor-oil/

ps welcome to oso..

Thanks for the reply guys. So FIXX you think th 20w-50 on thiat. I am running the boat at altitude (4800 ft or so) with mid 70's in water temp. No issues there with the thicker weight?
