Default 5 blade props vs Bravo 1?

Does anyone have any comparison data? I found Hydro Q5 (stock) about 1.5 mph slower than full labbed Bravo One's. Q 5's are back for some adjustments. I'll let everyone know how they work.

What pitch are 5 blades? And the 4 blades?? Just wondering what difference there would be.

Default Bravo

I'm looking for a 26P Labbed or a 24P RH Bravo 1, anyone know where I can find one in good condition?

I will check and get back to you.

Where is your propshaft relative to the hull? Many guys find four blades to be slower than three when the propshaft is too low. I would think that the same thing applies to five blades vs. four?

Tomcat, The prop shaft is 1.75 " above the running surface on a 36 Skater with 500 EFI's.

It has been our experience, running four bladers on Bravos in rough water kills the drive.

Gary, More blades seems to significantly reduce vibration on high X boats. Jumping waves loads and unloads the whole driveline, and, it seems, more blades kills things quicker. I have had zero problems with shafts and gears over 150 hours, with Imco upgrades, but I don't accelerate hard or zing the props.

However, I have cracked two props, and cracked two lower drives by running this high X dimension.
