Default KE 2 piece valve covers LEAK!

Did a search, but are there any other options out there to stop the leaking? i have 2 pair of them and If I have to silicone them down they are really not much use to me. Open to suggestions. Thanks!

Go over to boatfreaks.org and do a search. One of the guys over there ground a bevel in the bottom lip of the mount and that kept oil from puddling up and leaking out.

Those covers suck. Mine have leaked since new. Keith Eckert even talked me into buying a set of their NEW rails that were supposed to stop the leaks. They gave me some BS story that since I bought the covers from Trick Marine, they were most liklely rejects. Anyway, the new rails didnt work either. Now, I have mine silconed down. Need dynamite to get them off. In my case, I really dont care much anymore, since I switched to T&D shaft rockers, I dont have to adjust my valve lash anymore.

We have used the KE valve covers fot 10+ years and they have never leaked a drop. We use the GM rubber VC gasket between the aluminum rail and the head. My suggestion is you call KEPP/Hardin and have a conversation.

Thanks for the info and link guys, Mine are good on the rail to head seal they seem to puddle oil on the lower rear top area of rail then leak past the o ring. They have a chamfer machined on the inside lower rail already I think.
