Helm volume will be an issue. Lock to lock turns will change. You might not care.

I can not speak for your single ram system but the Mayfair single ram full hyd. system that I installed in my boat last winter uses a different helm than a duel ram system uses. It may not be a bad idea to check with the manufacture of your steering system to see if that is the case. I found this out when I thought I was having a steering problem and swapped out the helm.

Yep. Imco's website has a chart that will give a good idea about much it will change.
