Default Gas shocks (struts)

I have race style hatches and was planning on putting gas shocks on. To the people who have them on their hatches what pound load shocks do you have. Mine are just fiberglass no cushions. Looking for a starting point
Thanks,
Ryan

Ryan I have a big fiberglass hatch. Probably your two put together. I look on my gas struts and the numbers are faded away. I will say this one strut will hold my hatch up. Two makes it VERY easy to pick up. The struts I have are from signature struts.com they are stainless and don't rust. Maybe if you get ahold of them they can help you out...

Thanks for the info. I will try and weigh them to see how heavy they are, then get in contact with them

We started with using the struts, but ended up using the springs....somewhat cleaner.
