Anyone ever put a truck 8.1 in their boat?
I'm talking like, with the truck ecm, wiring harness, fuse block, etc.
I don't know how much I'm considering it, but I have a great deal on a complete package.
What would you do with O2 sensors?
And how would you make the throttle work?
What about the tune?
Could you just put in the HP500 cam and be done?
Doesn't seem that easy. So, I return to my title question, has anyone ever done it?

Is the throttle the fly by wire type? That might be the only issue you may have to over come. The O2 sensor and the computer can be done by Painless Wire. But the throttle may take some engineering.

Pretty sure that was the motor used when GM went racing with APBA in the early 2000's. Even the OSO Gladiator had a pair of VORTEC's from GM at one time. They had a whole class devoted to beating the piss out the motors for a whole season and tracking wear etc.
