Full hydraulic steering on a 24-7 pantera....power or no power?
Hello all. I'm going to be installing full hydraulic steering on my 24-7. I have a Hardin marine Mayfair short ram system on the outside. I don't have any interior components yet.
I'd like to not have to use "power" steering on the boat as I'm dry sumping the engine and I really don't want another accessory to mount. Also, I'd rather not have to mount a reservoir as I'm already adding a dry sump tank.
Will a manual system work on my 24-7, bbc, bravo one application?
Will I get the "two finger" feel without power?
Thanks, rob

I guess it all depends on how strong you are. if you are not you will be after running it awhile. that system is not designed to not have power and the only way I think you would be able to run it is with a helm with about 8 turns lock to lock which you would not like either.
