Default offshore pickup ?'s

I am planning on installing a cut to fit offshore pickup soon. Any special considerations to get the best installation. I plan on trimming the leading edge flush with bottom of hull and the trailing edge 3/8-1/2 inch lower. I already have a sea strainer that the pickup will flow through. Thanks

Just make sure you have a shut-off valve fitted to it.

There is a pickup out there with a adjustable trailing edge. That's the one to use. Also if you have a stepped hull, you may have a problem with air being pickuped instead of water.
