Default gen v-vi block swap

I have a 454 gen vi block that cracked...i have a 454 gen v block on hand...looking to see if I can use the gen v block with most of the gen vi guts or not. Seen several blogs talking about swapping the other way...seeing some notes on differences in timing cover, cam, and fuel pump...

Need to know what the bottom line is if I go this route...appreciate the time.

Timing Cvr will be diff on 5 than 6 however the gen six cover will work by drilling
And tapping a few holes . Cam will work however diff lifters will be needed unless
You have retro fits already . Gen 6 uses dog bone style. Where gen 5 Wasent set up
For them

Don't forget to research proper head gaskets. Some minor differences there as well.
