Keep your Thunderbolt IV. MSD is extremely unreliable. No need for multiple spark in your application. The TBIV is more than adequate.

to say msd is extremley unreliable is not always the case depending on application, and in your application the thunderbolt iv is more than adequate.

I had the same boat, same engine and installed the MSD with soft touch rev limiter. The boat gained 11 MPH and I had to go up 2 prop sizes......OK maybe not that much. Truthfully, I didn't notice any performance difference but it was nice having the rev limiter in there if it was needed. I did not experience any failures with the product though. To sum it up, it was a waste a money, stick with stock.
