Default RPM gauge help. ...

Replacing old medallion gauges with up to date gauges and the old medallion rpm gauge is only 2 wires.... a ground and sending unit hook up. The new rpm gauge has a 3 wire hook up.... ground, sending, and ignition. So where do I hook up the ignition wire? Tried it on the switch and it doesnt work.

Connect the guage power wire to a purple (powered when key on) wire.
