Have you used any of the PBM or the World blocks that are now cast and machined in the USA. I know all the World blocks have met ISO 9000 certification, do you think they would change any of the machining for the PBM name block, and what would the casting material be in the PBM block verses the World?
I have never seen the new 502 block but where its coming from CA and the epoxy paint is a good indicator that its probably a Chinese block.

Have never seen a PBM or the new World block. No one knows who machines them and when I had problems with the World blocks years ago World was of no help to me. World didn't machine the blocks and what were they going to do with them?? Customer service and product was very poor back then.

I am sure thing have changed now.

I do a lot the GM and Dart and customer service has been great.

After looking over the pics I can see the dowel holes in the pan rail which means they are done on a track system for production and is not a true CNC machined block but is done with gang tooling like OEM blocks!!

All being said; This being a China, import block. "Buyer Beware". Obviously; this MK Hammer 502 block is not the same quality as our USA Made blocks. CNC blocks, has pointed out some very important facts from the picture. At this point; I would not encourage, anyone to purchase one of these blocks.

The wife said the same thing when she picked out her new Vibrator. I told her that's the biggest ear cleaner I ever saw.

I just talked with my PBM rep this past week when he stopped by the shop. I was inquiring about the aforementioned blocks. He told me that they were,in fact, casted in Indiana by Canfield.

It would be nice to know if anybody has already used these blocks from Mk Hammer, I was actually asking Lil Red about them yesterday and then I found this thread, any success with them? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

[QUOTE=liquidlounge;4043116]http://www.superchevyperformance.com...p/19170540.htm

Are all 3 of these blocks the same bock? I mean , I know a guy looking for a 10237300 Block . Did they quit making those? He wants a GM clock but doesn't want to put a frickin cover over an unesseary fuel pump boss. Seems kinda generic you can't get the real ch!t from GM

The last 502 crate motor ordered from Jegs I saw was not the good block. It had a fuel pump provision as well and overall the machining and clearences were horrible.
