Yeah I heard that also. This fuel tank is one 200 gal. The transom seems ok..... it's hard as a rock. What I'm standing on is where the back seat mounts and the stringers end at a bulk head about a foot or so behind where my foot is. Then starts the motor mount stringers.

I just had them done in my 33 Baja, I had front bulkhead and rear bulkhead and main stringers and engine stringers, and it ran me $6,500. No matter what someone quotes always add $1,500 cushion for more chit to find. I ended up getting aluminum tank exopy coated and all epoxy resin and bilge paint and all. I watched alot of the work, but what they did would be very difficult for one person to do, and may be easy to a carpenter/fiberglasser but i would never attempt, and I consider myself pretty handy.

There is ALWAYS more rot than you originally thought!

If you plan to have it fixed, I'd have them "core" several areas so you can tackle it all at once.

Guys at boatmasters came out to my place to look at the
rot so I wouldn't have to move the boat.... they are going to replace the stringer structure from the beginning of the cabin back to the transom for $3500 if transom is rotten then it will cost $4700

It hasn't been done yet. They it would be ok as long as I was careful during this summer and they would jump on it in the fall.
