RHS from what I can tell. they are nothing special. That's also the cam that's in the motors now.

Seems like an awfully lot of cam for a pleasure N/A 540 Marine. Just my opinion, but,

too much duration.

Intake valve closes too late

LSA too tight.

Is this a 10.5:1 engine that will turn 6500, or a 9:1 engine that might see 5500-6000?

You sure they are not Pro Action ? RHS bought Pro Action. RHS and Pro Action made cast iron heads too.

ProComp is/was a fraudelent company. They make alot of crap. Some people like them....but I think that's there wallet talking. ProComp , in regards to heads, only makes them in aluminum.

BTW: I'm always nervous of others peoples used motors as they sit, but more so with cheap schit. My opinion.

That's a whole lot of cam!! Pretty much a waste of Torque/HP in the power band that one would traditionally run a non-race marine motor in. JMO.

It's pro comp heads for sure and that's the cam in the motors. So that cam coming out for sure. Thought it was big but wasn't sure.

Bob Madera with Marine Kinetics

Thinking on this subject, has anyone heard from Harold Brookshire (Ultradyne cams)
Last I heard he was recovering from a heart attack in 2012
