Default Mystery parts

Just finished pulling the second transom plate off my 29 Fountain twin. While cleaning the bilge area I found these 2 short but stiff springs. Anyone know where they go?? I heard a noise like some piece of hardware hitting the bottom as I was pulling the inner transom plate off. I couldn't figure out what had fallen at the time.

I'm posting a link to our local message board.

They go on top of the rear mounts on the transom assembly. They actually fit inside the leather washers that sit on the top of the rear mount between the engine and transom assembly (the leather washers are probably stuck on the bottom of your bell housing holes). I believe they're part number 10+11

Found this pic on same site:

Looks like it's item #11.

I've found 3 so far. Hopefully I'll find the last one tomorrow when I return to the bilge. Thx for the help.

Yep that's it, and if you don't find the last one they're cheap, if you can't find one local just let me know I'll drop one in an envelope and mail it to you for nothing.

I appreciate the offer but it's probably be in the bilge somewhere. The bilge is a soupy mess of out-drive oil, power steering fluid and many years of gunk.
