Default Should I scrap my anti-spam valves?

Maybe some have read my past thread on fuel feed issues. Should I scrap my antisiphon valves? How about the pickup screens? My fittings out of my tanks are only maybe 3/8" and I have a feeling my motor needs all the help it can get.

To me the screens look restrictive as well...sure that I should keep them? One feed from each tank to a proportional valve with the single outlet

IMCO sells larger ASV's if you're concerned about being legal. That's what I did, but I'm not running huge HP. I think mine are 1/2".
