Stock center riser exhaust will handle anything you want to throw at your 330 with a few upgrades. If you could find a set of 088 head an aluminum intake and carb and a decent cam upgrade you could pull another 30-50 HP out of your motor without breaking the bank. You may pick up 3-5mph for all your work. And don't forget you'll need to re-prop as well.

Or give this guy a call and buy one of his 420's and stainless marine exhaust. Sell your motor to break even on that and rebuild. You can easily have a nice 450HP package on the cheap with a little work.

Did he really say inexpensive and boat at the same time??
Hell I have a little boat and I have soent so much money Im about to divorce myself. There is this guy on one of my shoulders that keeps saying "enough already, you need to finish fixing your house, put some money in the bank, get a new truck",,,, And then ther is this guy on my other shoulder that says " You need to build a 525, get a new drive with a shorty, hyd. steering, bigger tabs, stand off box..."
I cant even sleep at night the voices are so damn loud.

Beer and horsepower has killed a few close one's. Okay, more than a few.
I'll take the horsepower. Save the beer for when the horsepower is shut off for the night.

OP, what do you consider inexpensive, budget wise? That plays into answering your question. I was in your shoes a few boats ago, same engine, same goals. At the end of the day the boat went 5 MPH faster and it took $5k to get there, I did all the work myself. Many nights of diagnosing and fixing my fixes to get there. Once you get the engine out you start replacing wearable parts too, it adds up. Suggestion, If you want to go faster with your current boat look for a 502 Mag takeout, and sell your current engine.
