Default Baja 240 sport (24 outlaw) VS 250 (270)es

I sold my Formula today. I am looking at 2 boats to buy. Both are the same year, both are equipped with a 502. Both are the same price, both are in very nice shape what would you guys pick? They are the 240 Sport (24 Outlaw hull) or the 250es (270 some years).

I like the styling of the 250 ES better. But the 240 is cool too, just a matter of taste

I had a 250ES and I thought it was a good boat and handled Lake Michigan well for it's size. These two boats used to get quite a bit of discussion on here and I believe the 250 is actually a hair faster than the 24 with same power. I would go 250ES, the only downside I see with the 250 is that is you break the plexi windshield, you're fukked.

I like the look of the outlaw better (alot cooler looking to me), but I like the fiberglass floor, the cabin door/cabin, and the larger cockpit of the 250es better. Do they both handle/ride well? I realize they are not Top Guns or Apaches, But well for the size?

I thought my 250ES rode well for it's size and handled well and it didn't even have trim tabs. My boating is in Lake Michigan, so it definitely saw some rough conditions from time to time. I just kept the drive buried when the waves picked up. It's hard to find one in nice shape these days since they are over 20 years old. I would own one again if I found a nice one.

The 240 / 24 Outlaw is a good looking boat and rides well for its size, but IMO you are getting more boat and more useable space with the 250ES. Getting in and out of the cabin on the 24 is like crawling thru an MRI tunnel. Not much use for anyone over about 5'10".

I just purchased a 250 this year and boat on lake Michigan. Its a great boat just enough room for an overnight. And great to bring some friends on for a day at the big lake. Boat seems to handle well. So I guess im partial I would go for the 250!!
