Got one more question if anyone is still following this thread. As I keep researching for my next boat, I'm keeping the 31' Excel & 32' BT at the very top of the list, but I'm seeing lots of smoking deals on 29' Scarabs, however... it seems like no matter what the power package (single stock BBC, single built BBC, or twin SBCs), I'm not seeing hardly anyone getting over 70ish mph.... does that hull have a hook in it, our have some other limiting factor? Maybe weight? Thanks guys, just something I've started noticing and would want ti take into consideration should I want to add power in the future
