what, you would never pull a small block out of a boat and put a bbc in it's place? it was an OE option thru 74. and all the numbers matching orig stuff would be in a corner in the garage to make any purists happy. of course first i hafta decide if i am gonna get stupid enough to buy the car. then i hafta decide if i am gonna get stupider enough to mess with it...

I still like the look of those.

At this point doesn't someone make a kit to swap a modern LS into them?

There was a Toyota pickup from the 80s for sale with a 525efi in it I saw once. Looked cool to see the marine engine in it. The complaint was it blew rear ends haha. Wish I had a pic.

I bought an 502mpi that a guy bought with only a few hours on it and installed in his land cruiser.

He even had the ecu flashed to work with an o2 sensor. An early kit that ASM had.

The bbc is big and heavy . You could shoehorn a zz502 with a cam and a 4l80e with a beefey rear end in a mid 70's corvette and have a runner, but then you will always be wondering why you didnt apply all that time and expense into a 69 chevelle instead lol.
And around these parts , a 502 69 chevelle will run circles around a barret jackson quality 75 vette in resale valure any day of week ,twice on sunday.
