Default oil pressure sender - suitable location?

Gen V block, HP500C with some recent upgrades. I upgraded the oil system to a merc racing oil thermostat/remote filter block.

My pressure sender is currently located above the oil filter pad on the block. When I rebuilt the engine I omitted the center pressure relief valve. My temp sender currently resides in one of the two remote cooler holes in the block per stock merc configuration. I am putting the temp sender in the spot above the filter pad to get it into the oil flow, but need a new location for the pressure sender.

Will one of the two remote oil cooler holes next to the filter pad be sufficient (i.e. swat pressure and temp)? Even if the flow is deadheaded here, it should still see pressure unless I am not thinking correctly. How about the unused hole on top of the thermostat/remote filter block (where item # 7 goes in the pic below)?

Thanks,
Ryan

Mike,
Which one? The remote filter pad, or where the temp sender is now on the block? Or doesn't it matter?

Thanks
Ryan

Doesn't matter. Whatever is easier for you. It doesn't matter if it is a dead end passage, the pressure is still the same. You are thinking correctly by moving the temp sender from the cooler hole to the hole above the filter pad so that it is in the flow. That is a big improvement.
