exhaust leak need gaskets

Yesterday was my lucky day. Only one bolt was a pain. Had to use open end, one quarter turn at a time. Gasket came off intact. Gasket at front cylinder eaten away, back cylinder not far behind! Bolts were not tight, me bad, should have checked at beginning of season. Will check stbd side.
Gaskets are scheduled to be delivered today.....Now if it only stops raining!

Got the new gasket on and the header tightened up. Also checked the other side and found the bolts to be a little loose so tightened them.
Question...How often to you all check and tighten header bolts?
I will likely replace the stbd gasket, which is OK, with the SS one after I get back from the Battle Ship Run.
