Or, if you wanna spend a little more....go screw....with the old school look like Mike Tkachs mills

What pulley is on them? It might be time to pulley up
Mild weren't you making close to 700 with your 250's on your 454's?

I never dynoed them with the 250 blowers, only the 420's. I did pick up a solid 4-5mph by switching to the 420s and fresh rebuild., which dynoed at 804hp. 700HP with the 250's is probably about right. Not a whole lot changed in the engines when I rebuild, other than whoever did the old valve job sucked. The valve seats were ground way deep. So had all new seats installed, a nice valve job/blending, and heads milled even. Prior to that, the cc's were all over the place. Then switched from a 250 B&M with single 1050, to a 420 B&M with twin 850's and new hard parts.

My buddy had a Top Gun, straight bottom. 598's with 250 blowers. The pulley's he had, made 7psi on mine, but on his, about 3 lbs lol. His dyno'ed at 800hp, and his boat ran mid 80s. He later swapped those blowers out, for 10-71's with chillers. Engines made right at 1000hp. But they never went back in the Top Gun.

Where do you boat? I see a lot of "shore" . They feel like driving a school bus on flat water. You need some Lake Michigan.

I think that pic is on lake Winnebago ..That lake can go from glass to 6 footers in 10 minutes. Its not very deep so the waves are very close together. its like riding a crossed a freshly plowed corn field. Very Very hard on parts. You can't throttle back fast enough when your riding on top of 4 waves at a time . The props just zing, then the parts fly... LOL I am sure Rob will like the ride much better than his smaller boat
