any thoughts ..ive got him to this thread lets see if we can help him out .. i think fuel delivery myself .. thanks guys

They are fairly simple engines. Start with the basic ignition tuneup and go from there.

Coil, or coil wire. The coil wire works 8 times as hard as the rest of them. Its all a guess from here

whats the fuel pressure when starts going away ?

I had the same problem. Fuel pump was going bad Ethanol ate it up. Ran fine at idle and up but when secondary's opened up it would cough and die. Pump pressure went to 2 on the gauge from 7

had a friend with same engine, the water pump leaked the fluid out, wore the are down bad on fuel pump, would only make about 2500, but you could see fuel pressure go away...expensive pump by the way...I hate mercs pump setup...
