Buy a valve spring compressor and pop off the springs. Easy to do and i am sure there are youtube videos for instructions. If valves are free and dont wiggle much (couple thousandths of inch) put in spark plugs and lay valve head side up and fill combustion chambers with water. Any runs out intake ports, get valve grinding coumpound and drill and lap the faces. You arent looking for perfect, you want good enough to get you thru 2 months tops.

Real quick test take a hammer and tap on valve spring with head standing up on end. You will head the bdip bdip sound of valve open-closing. If stuck you will hear the diff big-time. And see valve staying open.

Took a rubber mallet and tapped around, got the bdip bdip on all valves. Thinking I might be able to get away with just a good cleaning for this season

then do the leak test. lay upside down with plugs and fill chambers with water. if nothing runs out faster than a drip after a few seconds, put it on and run it.
