Well, Saturday was awesome. Got 2 hours run time on it. What a beast. Today, pulled out of the ramp. I got it on plane and heard a screech. Blower seized up. I took the belt off and idled back. Got the blower off. Just the little sealed bearing in the snout blew. No pieces went into the oil bath bearings at all. I am very lucky.

Close one! Glad it's something relatively simple. Are you going to have the blower redone or just the bearing and seal?

I am going change the bearing and leave the rest as is. The front bearing is non servicable. The other bearings are all oil bath so they get oil changes while the front one gets the grease it came with.

A 250/256 would be a nice (though early) upgrade fo the whole thing! 😉
