I had a 91 fountain 32 with 650 per side running plus or minus 90 mph, back many years ago. Now , how much it cost to get close to 250 more ponies per side, can t tell you. But 100 mph.... Better look for... What.... 750?

If getting it to run 100 is the goal, engine r&r is going to be just a small fraction of the $$$ spent

Ah yes, but the less he gets bent over on the R&R, the more money he will have to spend on his big blower motors

Cats are a lot easier to achieve 100+ mph.

last owner and marinia tech said they had ran 85 mph in it .ive had it to 75 without much work on trimming it.was wondering if its better to build the motors I have or just find another set.i love blowers...have a psi blown hemi now for race car...but don't want to cut the tanning pad for blowers.guess I just want it to run better than stock.also I think I may need to look at props.

Doubt they had it that fast on GPS. Your 95 is a small step? My 2000 large step will run right at 82-83 with HP500EFI motors they dyno right at 510-515.

As for hatch, on mine it's a different hatch then the mag motors like yours, it has a raised section over each motor. A whippple kit would fit without mods on mine. Look at the whippled 500 for sell, two of those would get you close. Then drive issues.

R&R of 2 BBC from a 32 Fountain and vs. a 42 Fountain are RADICALLY different experiences. You are going to have to find someone willing to take on this task as that's a VERY tight boat to work on.

Doug Price would be someone I would ask down your way: 540.521.901four is the last number I have for him. It's been a while since I have caught up with him.

Are you going to have Sonny Leonard do the motor work?

For speed PM Blue magic on here, I think he has a 32 with somewhere around 750HP motors.

I think to R&R my motors it was around $1500-2000. Can't remember as this last time we had to do everything over. As Sydwayz said, it is "TIGHT". Sorry for the blurry picture,,,,,,,, it was a quick cell phone shot. LOL

Not trying to hijack, but thought I'd mention this. My brother has two long blocks fresh back from the machine shop. These are 502 415hp efi black motors rebuilt back to stock. Not sure if you are interested in them. Iif so, you can buy them, move over your accessories, then have your old blocks to begin the performance project. Just a thought. His project is going a different way so they are just sitting. I think he wants around 7-8 for them which is what the rebuild receipts show. If you are interested, send me a pm and I'll give his contact info. We are in the Houston area.
