Thanks again I appreciate it.. Also I have a 84 Scarab III 340.. I might just convert it to diesel. Do they make 1:1 TRS drive. I have twin 468 ( 525hp ea) now but the TRS is a 1.5... As far as I know they only made a 1.5 and 1.34 radio

why is it that you want a diesel boat? What are you going to do with it?

There are a lot of threads on here about diesels --do a search and many will surface...

I'm not against it -- I actually am looking to do it -- but don't think that you will save money by doing it. the cheapest money is to keep the 468's running and enjoy pouring gas in. To do a diesel properly will be expensive unless you only want to run 50 mph and cross your fingers on the drives...

I built 2 diesel Larry Smith Scarab hulls 1 48 with 6.7 cummins and 1 43 with 8.3 cummins . The 48 is a pleasure boat and it runs about 82 mph . The 43 was a military project and the boat is very heavy it runs about 74 mph. Both boats run the Tri Max drive system with rudders

I'm not trying to save any money on fuel. I just enjoy diesels. My truck is diesel ,my rock crawler is now diesel . I own a fab shop. so im thinking about installing two 7.3L powerstroke in my Scarab, only issue I am facing is TRS drives are not available in 1:1 ratio. And I really don't want to switch drives. So I may consider a different boat all together
