Mine has no intake work done, but you may just convince me to do so.

You have the bigger flame arrestor, in my testing today its actually a damn good flame arrestor vs the newest flat plate style that came on my 502mpi in the Baja 272 in 2000, BIG hp difference even on a bored out throttle body!

spent another afternoon dynoing, here are the results:
base line today-motor made 541.6 hp at 5600/569.3ft lbs tq at 4300 (58 mm twin bore TPIS throttle body)
made pull with gutted early style flame arrestor
lost 7.5 hp, peak moved down to 5400 (534.2)
lost 7ft lbs tq (562ft lbs)
Installed my bored out 56 mm throttle body that I have ran for year on my 540
Lost 5.5hp (536) (5400 peak)
Lost 13.6hp at 5600 (528 , so peak ended/dropped more at very top)
Tq peak almost identical BUT moved down to 4100 (568.8)
Lost 4 ft lbs at 4300 (previous peak) (565)
Added gutted flame arrestor to 56 mm bored out throttle body
Lost 7 ft lbs at peak of 4300 (558)
Lost 11ft lbs at 4100 (previous peak with smaller throttle body)( 557.8)
Lost 11hp at peak at 5400 (525 hp)
Lost 6.5hp at 5600 (521.6)
Compared to 58 mm TPIS WITH gutted flame arrestor VS 56 mm WITH gutted flame arrestor
Lost 4 ft lbs (562 vs 558)
Lost 9hp (534,2 vs 525)
Here is where I got the BIG surprise, I removed 4 or so layers of restrictive screen from the gutted flame arrestor, if you go back and read previous test the hp dropped all the way down to 510 with the "flat plate" style year 2000 flame arrestor on motor on 58 mm tpis, a drop of 30 hp so I dug out a THIRD flame arrestor I have, another early style 502 mpi but fully intact with all the layers of screen. Washed it up and installed it, VIRTUALLY NO HP DIFFERENCE over the gutted screen style one I posted the picture of, now this was with the 56 mm bored out throttle body, havent tested it yet with the 58 mm tpis.
-2 ft lbs (over gutted) at 4100 (555.4)
-1 ft lb at 4300 (557)
+1.5 HP AT 5400 (526.4)
+2 HP AT 5600 (523.5)
So in full stock condition a unmolested "early" round scren/2 dimple 502mpi flame arrestor made 16.5 MORE hp over a stock gen 6 2000 flame arrestor and this was on the SMALLER 56 mm throttle body!
Now, I still have to re-install the TPIS 58 mm and test unmolested flame arrestor , will do that next week and I fully intended to test a std bore throttle body and see how much more it drops BUT I no longer have one, I had them all bored out years ago to 56 mm!!. I can say this 56 mm one made 12 more hp on my 540 (657hp vs 645) years ago with same intake.
IF anyone local in Michigan or close by has a stock 502/454 MPI throttle body I can use for testing I will make pulls with it, LET ME KNOW!! SMITTY

I will also be borrowing "gimmeful" (screen name) Ron's K/N 502 flame arrestor and test THAT to see how it compares to these flame arrestors, the old school one didnt kill that much hp intact BUT it still whacked 7.5 to 11hp at 5400 in all the test!
