I was curious about the advertised duration, .050 duration, and lift.
If i remember the solid roller you had was pretty mild. It sounds like you certainly making more power now obviosuly. 3mph gain in a 36 apache from a cam swap if similar cams, is huge. Did you dyno them ?

One other thing I wish I could have done was get some numbers with my methanol system but the controller box took a dump as soon as I hooked power to it on the dyno. I went to hook up the Meth after making af ew pulls and a puff of smoke came out of the box (F me, right?)
However, the boat ran 94.5 without Methanol turned on and ran 95.4 with the methanol activated. I also saw a 2 point "increase" in AFR as soon as I switched the meth on. It was a pretty neat test!

One last thing. The new setup is MUCH louder.
First video is the old cams and going past my friends house two years ago and picking on my buddy in his Donzi.

This is from the same location and the new setup. Too bad I wasn't laying into it!

Wow, I stumbled across this thread doing a search and two hours later I was done reading the 683 posts. There is some great info in here!
I know much less than most on this thread. But, I can comment on the 1.8 vs 1.7 ratio rockers. My Innovation Marine 500EFI had a cam similar to a 731, but with a 4/7 swap(496 cam). If I remember correctly it was .598/.610 lift. They used the 1.8 rockers to get more valve lift while still being able to use the stock GM roller lifters with the dogbones. I believe someone touched on this earlier, and I think this is a reason the 1.8s are sometimes used.
