Actually I just got it figured out on Sunday. Got another new coupler from Merc and it solved the issue. Seems as though my original coupler was bad (wasn't true) and so was the first new one I got. All is good now! Thanks to everyone for all the help

Does this happen alot ? How many people just line it up and bolt on the drive without rotating it.

Apparently not unheard of. I spoke with George at All American Drive Service and he said he has also heard of couplers coming from Merc that are bad.
