has anybody actually swapped out the smartcraft gauges(that read everything from hours to fuel level) to the aftermarket faria ones ? have a 2001 merc optimax outboard, needs gauges as lenses are killed, but all funtions work fine, made by VDO for Merc, merc no longer sells them, VDO did to even reply to my email about replacements or new lenses. have talked to faria they don't think they will work, CP performance thinks they will, but nobody for sure ?? thanks..Rob
