I ran the #'s at 6300rpm. The correction factor added 50hp, (sheet shows 696.6hp , actual power measured was 646.12hp) which is +8% correction. Sheet also shows the same "C.F. 1.08 "

So, one would have to find altitude of shop and air conditions going into engine that day to see if this is correction is high or not.

Any correction this high raises doubt and further investigation, as noted above, would be needed to accept these #'s as true or not.

They actually talk about a 38 cig I think it was. Had 575s. They built some of the 510/700s and boat picked up 10 mph. Without knowing anyone personally that sounds good

Yes, it was a stepped Top Gun.

Its nice to have engines built by someone who understands the powerband thats required to make a boat go fast. A guy with a twin step top gun, probably isnt concerned if his boat takes 2 seconds longer to get to top speed. He is probably more interested seeing a higher top speed number when hes wringing it out for miles and miles in a poker run.

But those big torque numbers from 3000-4000 makes for nice dyno sheets and discussion on what "exemptlatlory examples of engine efficiency and unicorn like gobbledygook stellar induction package " ...meanwhile, your boat is a turd on the water.

I looked up their address and due to their location, I'm giving them at best 15' above sea level. I also looked up the weather at their location on the time stated on the sheets and I'm showing 60 degrees, and a barometric pressure of 29.92". Seeing that they are showing this was done at 2am the temps would be pretty sable.

After getting the build sheets on theses the carb used was an AED spec'd Dominator.

[QUOTE=14 apache;4515943]Friday, July 15, 2016

Wrong time period- The date was May 31, '12. If the time is right, it looks like 2:36 am. I looked this up too, I appears that the info on the sheets was good in regards to the weather.
