Default upgraded 500efi shift issues

I have a 500efi (clone) that has been upgraded to a 509 with the cam for a 525efi.
My issue is this. 9 out of 10 times, when I shift it into gear from idle it stalls the motor out just like u turned the key off. and really doesn't like to idle below 900rpm.
but when I can get it to stay running and bump the rpm to 1000 asai shift into gear. it seems to run well.
I assume it is a tuning issue. but just thought id see if there r any other suggestions that I might consider. before I take it to the pros.

Iac recovery, iac base counts vs iac position, might need to set iac range by adjusting minimum throttle, tps setting etc, spark stabilization etc in the tune will fix it, needs to be tuned most likely. Verify base timing first though, Smitty
