AJ is a good friend and It's badazz that he got to enjoy driving his PP in the rough! I love the pics and videos!

But....I was on the dock afterwards and you wouldn't want to be near his Girlfriend when they got back!

Wonder what OSO would be saying about him if his G/F Face got split open while stuffing......

Besides her asking to get off the boat at the nearest marina, the rest of his crew agreed to run, and that's what poker run events are all about, the comprodery.

Am I the only one where my best days are just me and the wife ( kids, unless they start to bicker) enjoying the sun and water alone, in peace?
These poker runs and gatherings with every a-hole telling you how bad ass they are and how much and who they know and what they`ve done is the last thing I wanna do on the water.
Hanging out with cruiser folks is preferred by me , they don`t have the need to have a d ick measuring conversation every 5 minutes.

Boyne Thunder

Nothing else matters if your crew is not comfortable....PERIOD

Kristy and I invited a couple that wanted to turn around, they took off their seat belts and stood up to look at the horizon trying not to puke.....when I heard that through the headsets I respected my crew and turned around, at that point it doesn't matter how hard we enjoy running.

There's a dozen other reasons but none of them matter. Overall the event as a WHOLE was AMAZING and everyone had a great time.

Dan, I know Joe has told you how much Kristy and I enjoy anchoring, relaxing and swimming on our cruiser. We raft up unleashed also after a long run.

You are sorta judging a book by its cover though, there are a TON of Poker Runs and Fun Runs that are NOT a d ick measuring contest. The camaraderie is awesome. Boaters are some of the best people in the world, that would do anything for each other. Yeah there are plenty of Azzholes out there, but there's also plenty of great guys like you, Joe and I that will walk to the parts store to get a fuse for another guy broke down. Don't knock something until you try it. Boyne Thunder, WMO, and TC Offshore fun runs are all great runs your family would enjoy. Yeah there are some that focus on drinking or egos a little more than others, but there are plenty of organized events that are worth every penny and then some.

When you get your boat to run over the century mark with N/A engines, and win your class at lotto then we'll let you brag a little too. What he has accomplished is no easy feat. And I do believe they gave him his well deserved trophy

I have seen this on open sit down boats and have had a question for a while. On a open boat are you concerned if something did happen that you could be strapped in upside down?

I was talking to a friend that races and he said in open boats they don't strap in, only canopy boats. I mean I understand when running hard in rough it would be nice but that also is when you have a better chance of something happening.

Do you also wear vests? Just trying to think how that would be upside down strapped in with a vest on. (hopefully awake).

EDIT

KW what are you doing for yours?

I'm honestly sorry to hear that Tim, I'm just extremely passionate about boating and motorized toys. I have no intention of coming across the wrong way, and I am sincerely sorry if I do. I'm sure you struggle with a similar problem of being judged by people who have never met you........
