I bought a 731 cam earlier this year. Its a popular cam, Think I got on fb powerboat swap shop, new, in box from somebody who bought it and never used it. look around, you can save yourself a couple hundred.
FYI with those cams, some say they will work with stock lifters some say they wont. I took no chances and got some crane lifters. New lifters on a new cam is usually a nice thing too....

When my cams arrived I was expecting them to be Crane's. To my surprise they were the in plain white boxes no name or anything. The cam card was just printed on a scrap piece of paper but it had all the #'s. I had a few questions regarding the degreeing procedure so I called up Teague. It was after hours for them but I was connected with Bob. He answered all my questions and walked me through the procedure FWIW.

Without a doubt, teague copied cranes designs. You'll see in teagues product description, says they are made by "andrews products". Andrews products appears to be a company that you can send in a design, or a camshaft, and they can duplicate it for you. My guess, is probably at a much cheaper cost than Teague can get them from Crane direct for, which in turn, means more profit. He probably found the crane grinds worked, and wanted to offer them to customers, but wanted to make some more $$ in camshaft sales. As you'll see by comparison, except for the stage 1 having 2 more deg of exhaust duration, the rest are identical. Advertised, .050, and lobe lift. Identical.

Andrews is a leader in the industry. As noted above, they sell software that many other organizations in the industry use to generate cam profile data. They wouldn't have a need to copy somebody's profile, but could certainly match duration and lift specs if they wanted to.
Crane isn't a standalone entity anymore. Their portfolio was purchased by Comp Cams sometime after 2010. The decision Teague made to change suppliers could have been due to parts availability rather than cost. Since Andrews is in the Chicago area, I'd be surprised if their costs of production beat what Comp could do out of Memphis, TN.
