The recessed area in the plate is where the seal goes? Nothing else correct? Its leaking through the opening. I was watching it while it was running.
I bought a new seal for that and also the bigger seal on the otherside just to rule it out

that O ring wont work, it has to be the other one in the pic, round with square shoulders, the rubber seal goes in the machined circle and the long nut goes through it and holds the adapter on.

Ok. Im thinking i must have ordered or gotten the wrong seal then. I just picked up another one locally and it looks smaller. Here is another pic of the orginal seal and the one i bougjt last week.

This has been the must frustrating issue ive had
The rounded oring in the picture is the orginal. It firs in the machined part of the plate perfectly. The other one did not. The new seal i just bought today is shaped the same as the last one i bought but it looks to me like its a tad smaller. Ill know fore sure when i get home from work.

I sure hope this was the cause of my frustration. I think inmust have snapped it when i orginally tightened up the fitting the first time. I sure hope so anyway. Didnt get it back together in time to start it last night so will check it out tonight. Luckily i had a spare. I tapped/plugged the bypass.
