Go to hardware store & get yourself a 4" rubber pipe cap and put it on Y pipe with hose clamp.
This works.

This plate is used to block off the exhaust port AFTER you remove the "Y" pipe. The OP stated he was not removing the "Y" pipe.

OP: AllDodge has it right. These are good option.

Aside from that, you should really consider doing this right and pulling the motor to remove the "Y" pipe and properly block off the exhaust port. Once the silent choice is removed the Y-pipe will be unsupported. It is cast aluminum and if it gets a really good whack could crack and then you have a 3" open pipe to the outside. Having said that, plenty of people of just blocked it off without issue; just weigh your risk appetite.

so true!!!

Personally I would not remove the "Y" pipe, some day someone might want silent choice again.
If you want to spend the extra money for the pretty, fancy plugs from CP let me know I might be able to get them a little cheaper. Other wise go get the rubber plug & double hose clamp it. That will be no different than the rubber coupler from factory.

Ok, 1st thing. Get 2 hardware store caps. Put them on. Launch the boat. Take them off. How close is waterline to top of Y?

Why do you care where the waterline is??
