fuel cooler
merc engine o l 601124. do i have to remove engine to access fuel cooler and pump and reg or can i get to it by removing. exhaust manifold and standing on my head. i take it that parts are on port side of engine with my back to engine

The high pressure fuel pump and cooler sits under the port motor mount and is a pita to change, it can be done just depends on the boat, a single will be easier

mtr is blue sea pump is just a sea pump the mtr is in 28 ft nordic heat 2000 i am original owner i have a post flood issue installed all new oe injectors 44 pound 13 ohm i was told to remove screen from from under reg boat idles once its started have to start at half throttle smell gas no mtr or fuel issues from idle to w o t 75 mph on gps

I said if your fuel psi is too high, then the screen is probably plugged. If the fuel psi is correct, then your screen is not an issue.

have you scanned the ecm ? to see if it points to a sensor .....ive never seen a stock 500 EFI without a lift pump,
