Default Bell housing coolers.

So the new transmissions I'll be running need to be mounted using a race plate. I was planning on using the dual cooler bell housing I have, but I don't see how I can plumb them to work with the race mount. I don't have either of these in front of me, so is this a non issue, or am I going to have to run a different style cooler? Any suggestions?

The boat came with the old style bell housing that has one plate cooler on each side. The issue I see, is that the plumbing is going to hit the plate. So are you saying that, that style will work with this set up? The bell housing in the picture, I don't plan on using, there are no coolers in it.

I'm not familiar with that setup, but I can take some measurements off my dual housing if it'd help.

I may just have to wait until everything shows up and figure out what I'm keeping and what I'll reuse. Transmissions are all new to me, so I'm a 100% newbie in this area.

I found one of the bellhousing coolers was adequate for the trans in my case.

So are these coolers for the trans only? Or, one for transmission and one for engine?

Mine originally used both coolers for engine oil with an add on cooler for the transmission. Now I'm using 1 of the bellhousing coolers for oil and 1 for trans. I'm using the stock merc coolers with 8 ( I think) plates. There are coolers for the bellhousing that have more plates for increased cooling capacity also.

I haven't had much of a chance to dig into how mine are rigged yet, but I'm pretty sure it was like yours. One engine oil, one transmission. What drives are you running on your boat?
