525 efi no spark

Ive got a 525 efi with no spark after renovation. The engine stands on a pallet for start up before installation in boat.

When i turn on ignition the fuel pump runs for 3 sec. I also got 12V to the ignition coils as long as the fuel pump is running. But at the same time the relay cuts the circuit for the fuel pump it also cuts the power to the ignition coils. I dont get 12V when im cranking the engine. Should it do that?

I can perform ignition coil test with the computer. When performing that, should the ignition coils pulse and give spark to the plugs? Because i can hear a sound but cant hear any pulses.

Any ideas?

So you hooked it up on a test stand as if it is in the boat? And it ran before you pulled it? Go back over all the connections. Most likely you missed one. Possibly a ground.

are you wired into the cannon plug on the engine harness with the ignition key ?

Ive got 12V on one of the big pins, ground on the other and also 12V on the ignition pin.

This is how I wired mine, sounds the same as yours, make sure your wired correctly on the switch

Check your crank sensor,,,the computer needs to see a crank signal,,,or it shuts down the fuel pumps

But there is also the ecm. You have had everything unhooked and reconnected. You had spark before. You don't now. When you do something to anything and something else doesn't work, in virtually all cases, you just did it.

Is the motor still completely wired to a cannon plug?

Update

Hi again,

Thanks for all replys. Just an update and some info to make things easier.

I bought the engine blown. So i dont know if it was working when i bought it but i assume so because it was blown.

- The ECM has been tested and came out ok.
- When I turn on ignition i got 12v to the coils, but it will just last for about 2-3 seconds. After you hear the mainpower relay shut off the power to the coils disappear.
- When I crank the engine it the ignition coils just get about 0.5V.
-When measure connection between the fuse for the coil and ground it comes out that they are connected (strange I think?). But when I crank the engine the connection between coil and ground cuts of. Should it be like this? If so, why do I only get 0.5V to the coils while cranking?

Somebody told me to check the cranksensor. Ive measure on the connection to one fuel injector and it seems like the sensor are working because I've got pulses for the injector when cranking.

Ideas?

(I wanted to post some pics but the forum said that im not allowed)
