After some good bud I actually wondered if they made one of those that would fit over a 4150 carb. Seemed brilliant at the time. Lol.

If you get the 24v model, and stack two of them together in counter rotating fashion they're effectively a jet turbine. Don't forget to upgrade your oil coolers on this one.

They are 0 volt. Just a propeller blade that is spun by the intake airstream. Means it is just a blockage in the air oath. Could get the same results by spraying glue on the mesh of the spark arrestor.

Btw update to popping #2 exh lobe wiped out. Sucks for him. I was hoping for a broken exh stud or rocker but no such luck. Only getting less than half lift.

Is the lame lobe not letting letting the exhaust out creating cylinder pressure and blowing through the intake when that valve opens?

Cuz half lift should still be enough lift for relatively normal performance. Did you try replacing pushrod and adjusting the valve? On the plus side, you don't hafta take a hole saw to the back seat to get the cam out...

Yup
I adjusted the slop out of it which gave it another probably .075 lift and the popping through the carb went away but cam still needs to be replaced unless it is a possibility of semi collapsed hydraulic lifter. Owner though it was a SR however is a hydraulic roller. I didn't pull the intake off to really see what exactly was going on cause I wanted to watch the end of the Lions game. That made me nearly puke and was to frustrated to go any further. I can't imagine it being bad lifter after taking the excess play out of it and still only getting partial lift unless the lifter is just mushing out under pressure. Don't typically get that lucky.

I have seen chebby lifters collapse and have the plunger bottom out and stay there. Guy didn't wanna remove the intake, so I hadda stack an extra rocker ball above rocker to adjust it like a solid. Ran fine for years. Was in a 68 camaro conv. He promised me I had first digs when he sold it. Then he sold it to somebody else...FOR 500 BUCKS!!!

It has to be the lifter. If lobe wiped out, base circle is still the same size and adjusting it would hold valve open all the time. AND it is a 68 impala. No such thing as a 68 impala 454. So the iron intake has NO collector item value. How many alum bbc intakes you have piled up? Sell him 1...
