Spark Plugs
Looking for new spark plugs for a 2002 496mag (375) the dealer quoted me a price of $15.00 ea. (ouch!).
I'm wondering what type of plugs most of you are using? How much? Where can I get them?

Get the numbers off the plugs and go to any parts store and match them up.
If unable to match at parts store go to Boaters world West Marine ETC.
Dealer has to make his mark up from his cost and that isn't always good.
I've seen a difference in price dealer to dealer on a lot of parts.
Pick one to support and stay with him. Some dealers are willing to work with you and those are the ones you need to support. That way when things take a ------ you have some history to get help with.
Others have the P.T. Barnum attitude..........there is a fool born every day.

Those platinum plugs will last forever especially with that hot ignition system of the 496. You are wasting your money replacing them. Most cars will go 100,000 miles without plug replacement these days and boat engines are just as easy on plugs.
