Default Big Thunder Marine Osage beach

Does anyone have any experience with this marina? I'm considering dealing with them but I've had some bad experiences with marinas in the past so I thought it never hurts to ask....

Yes. Overall good experience, ongoing slip renter and use them for service. What kind of 'dealing' you looking to do? They have multiple sites with different 'segments' (family/fast/wake/whatever) catering to most boating related things, or can usually point you in the right direction or bring the right person in for what you need.

As in one of the actual marinas they own or are you buying a boat or????
Ed Champion (eddie on OSO) is top notch and handles most of their performance boat sales. Known him for 20+ years

Yes I was looking at a boat they are listing and I spoke with Ed, and while my impression of him was good, I've learned to always check around a bit because sometimes these guys can really put on a show. I appreciate the insight. It's a 10 hour drive from where I am so just covering the bases before I burn 100 gallons of cheap diesel to take a look.

Just bought a cigarette from Ed a few months ago. Never met him before but knew of him through the small world of performance boating. Ed was super easy to work with as was Big Thunder's Michelle Curry who handled the paperwork. Ed is very knowledgeable and connected in the offshore boat market, went out of his way to make the sale happen and then after it was pretty much done, helped set things up and get the boat moved around for me (since I'm 1700 miles away). Would recommend him for sure. You won't be disappointed. Like others said, straight shooter, good dude.

Good to hear the very positive stories from those who have dealt with Ed; people like him are becoming increasingly rare.

I've worked with Big Thunder, and Ed for years also. Everything from maintenance work, buying and selling boats with them. Bought a couple 400Rs and they did outstanding rigging them. Jeremy Anderson, the general manager there is also great to work with as Ed is.

If you make it down and need a place to stay, I have lots of friends in my condo complex with 1br/1ba lakefront rental condos that are priced lower than most regular hotels. Located about 10 mins from Big Thunder. Send me PM with dates when you are ready.
