I'm no expert but I don't think there is muck to gain with headers on a 4.3 unless you've added a bigger cam, headwork or more compression.

I'd save your money. The stock exhaust will meet all the flow requirements of a 4.3. Even on a BBC, the addition of exhaust alone will yield minimal, if any increase in power or top end.

cheitman, nice to see another local on OSO. Do you boat on the river?? What boat??

Yeah, I'm a river rat. Look for a 1996 burgundy and white 266ltd Crownline "PROBABLE CAUSE". We run in the area between Cottonwood and Anchor Inn. How about you?

It wasnt drastic, and the motor was in frt of a jet pump, but it reacted better in response and acually gained a 100 rpm.

I met you last year at the Anchor Inn. I have the 28 Pantera and was talking to you about the name of your boat. I think you said the previous owner was a lawyer??? I keep my boat in Bellevue Marina and run between there Dodge Park most of the time and make it up to Cottonwood once a month or so.

Griff, now I remember. Sweet boat! Have you seen how low the river is right now? If we don't get some serious precip up north I'm afraid to see what summer will be like.

Its always about this low in the winter. The Core of Engineers reduces flows to less than half of summer flows to build the levels in the resovoirs.
The river is going to run lower than normal during the Summers for a while though, since ALL of them are low already too. If you haven't heard about all the BS with the enviromentalists trying to change the flows, check out some of the articles on Omahariverfront.com. We could have some serious issues with boating on the river in a few years.
