Default Would someone please explain this to me?

I was looking at a Sonic that forum member "bn" has for sale in the "boats for sale" section of the board. It's a 1995 model with twin 454 mags. I noticed in the pics of the engine compartment that it has a serpentine belt set up on it. Was this on there from the factory?

I don't understand why his 95 model would have it and my 96 model Scarab with 502 mag has v-belts? Anyone?

I guess if this is something that was added by the owner that would make sense. If not, why?

Buck 183, those are 1999 454 Mag MPI's that I installed last year.
Good attention to detail though!
