Default Longevity of aluminum heads-raw water.

A friend is having aluminum heads put on his blower motors this winter but has raw water cooling on the engines. How well do aluminum heads hold up in a pleasure boat used in brackish water?? Does anyone have any experience I can pass along? I had a real problem with an aluminum manifold even though I religiously flushed and was wondering if he might have corrosion problems with the heads.

Thanks.

A process card "hard anodizing" is the way to go. It leaves the head with a black finish color. I know Canfield and AFR does this. I would go with the AFR heads.

Thanks for the input guys. I think he's getting the Canfields, guess I'll need to make sure they are anodized. Looks like the AFR's flow a little better but apparently the guy doing the engines really likes whatever he's using, we shall see.

I GOT A SET OF CANFIELDS (800'S) FROM KE- COMPLETE FOR 2 GRAND HARDCOATED , REALLY NICE PIECES. I THINK JMI HAS THEM AT ABOUT THE SAME PRICE PLUS 10% OFF ORDER.
