Default upgrading fuel lines?

last year when we dynoed SuperV's motor it appeared that the fuel delivery had a little to be desired. Would it make any differance if we use 1\2 or 5\8 lines with a stock belt driven fuel pump?can the out feed be altered on the pump to a larger size?

I bought the standard Carter HV pump for a BB at a automotive
speed shop and bolted the bottom half of the pump to the stock top half of a Merc. CP Perfomance sell the same thing and they include a -10 inlet and -8 outlet. Cheaper at the an automotive store. pumps 120 GPH and self-regulated from 6-8 psi.
